The question, answered in order

People type what is my kua number when they have a birthday and no floor plan. Start there. The house can wait. Type the year and gender, read the digit, and stop. You do not need a room photo.

If the birthday is in January or early February, read the year the calculator names. That line is the whole reason two family members born days apart sometimes land in different groups.

East group and west group

Digits 1, 3, 4 and 9 are east group. Digits 2, 6, 7 and 8 are west group. What is my kua number is finished once you know which of those two you are and which four directions the table gives you. The directions are for a bed, a desk, or a seat, not for choosing a city.

Five is not left as five. Male five is treated as two. Female five is treated as eight. The result says this in words so you can compare it with another book.

If the next question is where to put the pillow, use the bed tool and add which side the door is on. If the next question is what the groups mean, use the meaning guide. What is my kua number does not need both on the same evening.

FAQ

Can I find what is my kua number without a gender?

No. The traditional table uses gender.

Does the time of birth matter?

Not on this page. The year boundary is Li Chun, by date.

Is a missing digit an error?

The result always shows a digit from the stated rule. If another site differs, compare the year it used.

Should I calculate my child too?

Yes, separately, if you are placing that child’s bed or desk.
